Following a crash between a military helicopter and a passenger airliner in the United States, 18 bodies have been retrieved from the river. More fatalities are anticipated.
The passenger jet fell into the Potomac River following the incident. As soon as authorities learned of the event, they dispatched divers to the scene to rescue the victims. Sixty passengers and four staff members made up the 64 individuals on board the passenger jet, according to American Airlines.
However, according to the US Army, the Black Hawk military chopper was on a training mission and had three personnel.
US President Trump said that the catastrophe may have been prevented and expressed remorse for the lives caused by the jet and helicopter crash.
Why didn’t the helicopter pilot turn around when he saw it, he said, because the plane was traveling in the right direction? And why didn’t the control tower alert the pilot if the helicopter was approaching the aircraft?
