Islamabad – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved amendments to the Civil Servant Promotion Rules, introducing significant changes in the promotion process for high-ranking officials.
According to a new Statutory Regulatory Order (SRO) issued by the Establishment Division, an officer’s case for promotion to Grade 22 will only be considered twice. If an officer is not promoted after two considerations, their case will not be reviewed again, and they will retire at their existing grade.
The Gazette of Pakistan has officially published the notification regarding these rule changes, confirming their implementation.
