In a recent statement, Naqvi highlighted the importance of Ayub’s recovery and hinted at the possibility of his exclusion from the tournament.
Mohsin Naqvi emphasized that the long-term future of the talented cricketer should not be compromised for a single event. “We cannot risk Saim Ayub’s career by rushing his recovery for the Champions Trophy,” he stated, adding that careful deliberations are ongoing as the squad is finalized for the tournament, set to take place next month.
