Pakistan sets 242-run target for New Zealand in Tri-Series Final –

In the final of the Tri-Series, Pakistan has set New Zealand a target of 242 runs to win the match. The ongoing game at Karachi’s National Stadium saw New Zealand bowlers keeping the Pakistani batsmen in check.

 

The first breakthrough for New Zealand came in the fourth over when they dismissed opener Fakhar Zaman for just 10 runs. Pakistan’s second wicket fell in the ninth over when Michael Bracewell removed Saud Shakil for 8 runs. Nathan Smith then sent Babar Azam back to the pavilion after he scored 29 runs.

The wickets continued to fall, but the score kept increasing. Captain Mohammad Rizwan contributed 46 runs, while Salman Ali Agha added 45 runs to the total, becoming the top scorers for Pakistan.

Earlier, Mohammad Rizwan won the toss and decided to bat first against the Black Caps. During the toss, Rizwan mentioned a change in the team, with Faheem Ashraf replacing Mohammad Hasnain in the playing XI. Rizwan further stated that the team aimed to set a big target for New Zealand.
