Islamabad – The newly sworn-in federal ministers, special assistants, and advisers have been officially assigned their portfolios, as per a notification issued by the Cabinet Division on Friday.
Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry has been appointed as the Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, while Ali Pervaiz Malik will oversee the Ministry of Petroleum. Aurangzeb Khan Khichi has been assigned the Ministry of National Heritage, and Khalid Magsi will handle the Ministry of Science and Technology. Hanif Abbasi has been given charge of the Ministry of Railways.
Muhammad Mueen Watoo has been appointed as the federal minister for water resources, while Muhammad Junaid Anwar will be responsible for maritime affairs. Muhammad Raza Hayat Haraj has been assigned the Ministry of Defence Production, whereas Sardar Muhammad Yousaf will lead the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
Shaza Fatima Khawaja has been named the federal minister for IT and telecommunications, while Rana Mubashar Iqbal will manage the Public Affairs Unit. Syed Mustafa Kamal has been allocated the Ministry of Health, and Rashid Ahmad Khan has been given the Ministry of Food Security and Research.
Among the ministers of state, Abdul Rehman Kanju will serve in the Ministry of Power with an additional charge of the Public Affairs Unit. Bilal Azhar Kayani has been designated as the Minister of State for Railways, and Aqeel Malik will oversee the Ministry of Law and Justice. Khail Das Kohistani has been appointed as the Minister of State for Religious Affairs, while Aoun Chaudhry will handle Overseas Pakistanis and Human Development.
Talal Chaudhry has been assigned the Ministry of Interior and Narcotics Control, and Wajiha Qamar will serve as the Minister of State for Education and Training. Additionally, Federal Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar has been given the additional responsibility of the Ministry of Human Rights.
Musaddiq Malik has been appointed as the federal minister for climate change. Khawaja Asif will continue as the Minister of Defence, while Attaullah Tarar has been named the Minister for Information, and Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui will oversee the Ministry of Education.
Rana Tanveer Hussain has been appointed as the federal minister for food security, while Chaudhry Salik Hussain has been assigned the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Development. Abdul Aleem Khan has taken charge of the Ministry of Communications, and Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh will lead the Investment Board.
Additionally, former PTI leaders have also been given key advisory roles. Pervez Khattak has been appointed as the adviser to the prime minister on interior, while Mohammad Ali has been named as the adviser on privatization.
