During the National Assembly’s Question Hour, Sher Afzal Marwat asked a question that led to laughter across the house. When the Speaker of the National Assembly directed a supplementary question about the merger of mobile companies, Marwat jokingly turned to his fellow members and asked, “Why was I removed?”
His comment sparked laughter among government members, while members from the opposition party, PTI, remained silent.
Earlier, while speaking to the media outside the National Assembly, PTI leader Sher Afzal Marwat had made it clear that no one could remove him from the party until the founder of PTI is out of jail. He also stated that his voice and position had not been heard, and he would not leave PTI in this era of oppression and fascism.
Marwat further mentioned that lawmakers who sold their conscience had not been expelled from the party, and those who had insulted the PTI founder on social media were still part of the party. He expressed frustration over repeated discussions of his removal from the party.
