Important news for those going on Umrah

Jeddah: Those entering any Saudi Arabian airport for Umrah must present proof of meningitis immunisation.

Saudi Arabia has mandated that pilgrims doing the Umrah must have a meningitis vaccination, under new recommendations released by the Saudi Ministry of Health for visitors from Pakistan and other nations.

According to the Saudi Ministry of Health, travellers need to be vaccinated ten days before they arrive in the kingdom and provide proof of immunisation at the airport.

This rule will go into effect on February 10th, with the exception of children under the age of one, according to the Saudi Ministry of Health.

An earlier regulation mandated that travellers from Pakistan, Nigeria, Afghanistan, and other polio-affected nations receive the polio vaccination.

It should be mentioned that hundreds of Pakistani pilgrims travel to Saudi Arabia every day to do the Umrah. There is a chance that hundreds of individuals may be sent back starting on February 10 if the prime minister does not take notice and speak with the Saudi administration.
