Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has approved the bail of more than 120 Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers who were arrested during the November 26 protest, ordering their immediate release.
The bail applications were considered by a court that included Justice Muhammad Asif and Acting Chief Justice Sarfaraz Dogar. The detainees were defended in court by renowned attorneys Ali Bukhari, Babar Awan, and Murtaza Toori.
The court granted bail on the condition that all released workers submit an affidavit at the police station, ensuring they will not participate in similar activities in the future. The bail was approved against surety bonds of PKR 20,000 per person.
Authorities have been directed to release all detained workers without delay. It is noteworthy that several PTI workers were taken into custody following the November 26 protest, prompting legal proceedings for their release.
