Elon Musk claims X hit by massive cyberattack – 365 news

San Francisco – X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, faced a major cyberattack on Monday, according to its owner Elon Musk.

“There was (still is) a massive cyberattack against X,” Elon Musk posted on the platform, though he did not provide specific details or evidence.

The incident led to widespread outages, with tens of thousands of users reporting difficulties accessing the site, as tracked by monitoring services.

Musk previously blamed a cyberattack for crashing X during a planned interview with Donald Trump last year. On Monday, he shared a post from an account named Doge Designer, which mentioned protests against the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), a division Trump had reportedly entrusted to Musk, as well as Tesla stores being vandalized. Some Reddit users speculated that Doge Designer could be linked to Musk himself.

In an online discussion, a user named Jammies suggested that launching such a large-scale attack would require significant financial resources, prompting speculation about who could be behind it.

Elon Musk also implied that the attack could have been orchestrated by a nation or a well-coordinated group.
