Renowned fashion designer Mahmood Bhatti is facing legal trouble as his wife, Humaira, has filed a case against him in Lahore’s Family Court, levelling serious allegations.
According to Humaira, Bhatti allegedly subjected her to physical abuse under the influence of alcohol, restricted her from eating and drinking freely, and kept her confined at home. She further claimed that before leaving for France, Bhatti threatened to kill her if she spoke out against him. In her petition, she has also demanded financial support and maintenance.
Following these allegations, the Family Court has summoned Mahmood Bhatti on March 20. The judge has warned that if he fails to appear, the court will proceed with a one-sided verdict. The case will be heard on March 20, where Bhatti’s stance will be examined.
