At the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, President Asif Ali Zardari will leave on Tuesday for a four-day official visit to China, which will take place from February 4 to February 8, 2025.
President Zardari will meet with Premier Li Qiang and President Xi Jinping during his visit, along with other high-ranking Chinese officials and leaders, the Foreign Office spokeswoman said.
Discussions will centre on important topics such as security cooperation, counterterrorism initiatives, and the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). Additionally, both parties will discuss how to improve bilateral cooperation in international settings.
On special invitation from the Chinese government, President Zardari will attend the opening ceremony of the 9th Asian Winter Games in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, as part of his tour.
This visit highlights the longstanding custom of high-level interactions between China and Pakistan, demonstrating the two countries’ solid strategic alliance.
